Test Background
Material testing refers to the detection and evaluation of the quality of materials and their various properties under different conditions. Sometimes it only refers to the testing of mechanical properties of materials. Material testing is of great significance to industrial production and basic research on materials.
The metal material intrusion test can determine the elastic modulus, tensile strength, Rockwell hardness and stress-strain curve of the metal material in the uniform deformation stage. It is suitable for the determination of the elastic modulus, tensile strength, Rockwell hardness and stress-strain curve of the metal material in the uniform deformation stage, the conversion between tensile strength and hardness, and the conversion between Brinell hardness, Rockwell hardness and Vickers hardness.

Scope of tests
Metal materials are divided into ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals. The ferrous metals include iron, copper, manganese and steel. Non-ferrous metals include tin alloys, aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, copper alloys, aluminum alloys and zinc alloys.
Test method
1. Use a spherical indenter to continuously load and unload the sample to obtain a typical force-depth test curve.
2. Determine the elastic modulus of the test material based on the unloading section data of the force-depth test curve, determine the plastic parameters of the test material based on the loading section of the force-depth test curve, and restore the stress-strain curve of the material through the Hollomon model to determine the estimated tensile strength and hardness of the material.
