Test Background

Wire rope sling is a sling that uses steel wire rope as the main body and the ends are consolidated using prescribed methods. The fatigue test of steel wire rope slings can determine their fatigue performance and is suitable for the evaluation of the axial fatigue performance of various types of steel wire rope slings in the same width direction.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various steel wires and steel wire products, and provides professional fatigue testing services for steel wire ropes.

Scope of tests

Steel wire rope slings mainly include pressed slings, cast slings, plugged slings, braided slings, ring slings, clamping slings, wedge slings, steel column joint consolidation slings, composite slings and other types.

Test method

1. The steel wire rope sling is cyclically applied with a certain range of amplitude and frequency of tensile stress in the axial direction until the frequency specified for this type of steel wire rope sling product is reached or the end of the rigging is deformed or cracked and the main wire rope is broken, broken strands, broken ropes and other failures.
2. The samples that have passed the inspection shall be subjected to subsequent tensile tests until they reach the breaking tensile value specified for this type of steel wire rope products, or until the ends of the rigging are deformed or cracked, or the main wire rope breaks, such as broken wires, broken strands, or broken ropes.
