Test Background
Our country is a big country in the production and use of steel wire products. Steel wire ropes are deep-processed products of wire rods in steel products with many varieties and specifications. They occupy an important position in the national economy and are widely used in various industries of the national economy such as construction, coal, mining, metallurgy, ports, tourism, transportation, petroleum, and ocean. As important components of special equipment such as cranes, elevators, aerial ropeways, and winches, they are mainly used for various forms of carrying, transmission, and lifting, and are closely related to production safety and personal and property safety.
The bending fatigue test of steel wire rope can determine its bending fatigue performance. Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has reliability testing capabilities for various steel wires and steel wire products, and provides professional bending fatigue testing services for steel wire ropes.
Scope of tests
is suitable for steel wire ropes with diameters below 60 mm.
Test method
The steel wire rope sample goes around the test wheel at a certain wrapping angle, applies tension to it, and bends repeatedly at a certain frequency to evaluate the wire rope's ability to withstand bending fatigue.
1. The test process should generally not be interrupted. Stoppage is allowed under the following circumstances, but the downtime should not exceed 15 minutes;
1) Check the first broken wire in the wire rope;
2) Test several specimens at the same time and remove the completed specimen;
3) Check whether the number of broken wires in the wire rope reaches the specified number.
2. According to relevant standards or protocols, the test will be stopped under the following conditions and the test will be completed.
1) When the first broken wire appears in the sample;
2) When one or all of the specimens break;
3) When the number of broken wires within one twist length of the sample reaches the specified value;
4) When the number of bending fatigue times of the specimen reaches the specified value;
5) When other conditions for suspending the test are met.
