Compression rebound test of laminated composite gasket material-Mechanical Testing-

Test Background

The gasket structure of laminated composite gasket materials is composed of two or more different materials laminated together. Each layer of material may be inorganic or organic, bonded together with various adhesives or impregnants, and is mainly used to make gaskets for engine carburetors, gaskets for engine intake pipes, gaskets for engine exhaust pipes, gaskets for engine cylinder heads, gaskets for engine gearboxes, gaskets for piping systems, and gaskets for compressors.
The compression rebound test of laminated composite gasket materials can measure the short-term compression rate and rebound rate of laminated composite gasket materials (two or more materials with different chemical properties are laminated together) at room temperature.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various laminated composite gasket materials, and provides professional compression rebound testing services for laminated composite gasket materials.

Scope of tests

Test method

1. Without placing the sample, measure the displacement of the indenter under the total load, and add the absolute value of this displacement to M in 9.1 to correct the system error. This offset is a mechanical constant and may vary between different test devices.
2. Place the sample in the center of the anvil, apply an initial load, hold for 15 s, and record the thickness of the sample under the initial load. Immediately apply the main load at a slow and constant speed, reaching the specified total load within 10 s. When the indenter descends, its end face should always be parallel to the surface of the anvil.
3. Maintain the total load for 60 s and record the specimen thickness at this time. Immediately remove the main load and keep it for 60 s. Record the thickness of the sample under the original load at this time, which is the rebound thickness.
