Fatigue test of fiberglass coated products-Mechanical Testing-

Test Background

Fiberglass coated products are currently popular among users, especially for building components. Tensile-tensile fatigue performance is an important performance index of glass fiber coated products, and it is an effective evaluation method for the service life of products. The fiberglass coated product fatigue test can determine the tensile-tensile fatigue properties of glass fiber coated products.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various glass fibers and provides professional fatigue testing services for glass fiber coated products.

Scope of tests

A product made of glass fiber cloth as the base material and coated with polyvinyl chloride, polyurethane, fluororesin, chloroprene rubber or chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber.

Test method

The glass fiber-coated products are cut into long strip specimens along the warp or weft direction, and subjected to a certain period of cyclic tensile tests. Then the specimens are subjected to tensile performance tests to determine their remaining tensile breaking strength and breaking elongation.
This standard specifies two different types of specimens:
Type A samples are products made of glass fiber cloth as the base material and coated with polytetrafluoroethylene, perfluoroalkoxy copolymer or fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer;
Category B samples are products made of glass fiber cloth as the base material and coated with polyvinyl chloride, polyurethane, fluororesin (excluding polytetrafluoroethylene, perfluoroalkoxy copolymer and fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer), chloroprene rubber or chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber.
