Test Background

Glass fiber mat is a sheet-like product made of continuous strands or chopped strands that are non-directionally bonded together through chemical adhesives or mechanical action. The glass fiber mat tensile test can determine the tensile breaking strength of the glass fiber mat, that is, the maximum force exerted to cause the sample to fail during the tensile test.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various glass fiber mats and provides professional tensile testing services for glass fiber mats.

Scope of tests

Common types of glass fiber mats include fiberglass needle-punched mat, glass fiber continuous strand mat, glass fiber chopped strand mat, glass fiber surface mat, glass fiber roofing mat, glass fiber stitch-bonded chopped strand mat, twistless roving composite mat, glass fiber sandwich composite mat, glass fiber stitch-bonded composite mat, glass fiber needle-punched composite mat, and air-purifying glass fiber fluffy filter mat.

Test method

Use appropriate mechanical devices to stretch pre-humidified standard size specimens, and indicate the tensile breaking strength through a recorder or dial.
