Free drop test of fire-fighting electronic products

Free drop test of fire-fighting electronic products-Mechanical Testing-

Test Background

The free drop test is usually mainly used to simulate the free fall that unpackaged/packaged products may suffer during transportation, and to examine the product's ability to withstand unexpected impacts. Usually the drop height is mostly based on the weight of the product and the probability of falling as a reference standard. The free drop test of fire-fighting electronic products can determine the ability of fire-fighting electronic products to withstand a free drop.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has environmental testing capabilities for various fire protection electronic products, and provides professional free drop test services for fire alarm equipment, alarm valves, fire communication equipment and other fire protection electronic products.

Scope of tests

1. Fire alarm equipment: fire alarm triggering devices, fire alarm control devices, fire alarm devices, fire linkage control equipment; etc.
2. Alarm valve: wet alarm valve, dry alarm valve, deluge alarm valve, pre-action device, delayer, hydraulic sensor, hydraulic alarm bell, etc.
3. Fire communication equipment: fire alarm dispatcher, fire command and dispatch equipment, fire vehicle dynamic management device, etc.

Test method

1. During the test, the test sample should be in a non-energized working state, and the test surface should be a smooth, hard and horizontal rigid surface made of concrete or steel.
2. Drop height refers to the height between the test surface and the nearest sample part when the test sample is suspended before falling.
3. The method of releasing the test sample is to make the test sample fall freely from the hanging position. After the test, the appearance, mechanical properties and function of the test sample are tested.
4. There is no test for level 0; the free drop heights for level I, II, III and IV tests are 1000, 500 and 200 respectively; the number of drops is 2 times; the mass of the test sample is <1kg, <10kg and <50kg respectively.
