Test Background
A seam refers to a continuous seam of one or more flat structural materials that separates two or more pieces, such as geosynthetics or related products. The geosynthetic joint tensile test uses wide strip samples to determine the tensile properties of geosynthetic joints and joints.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various geosynthetic materials and provides professional joint tensile testing services for geosynthetic materials.
Scope of tests
1. Applicable to most geosynthetic materials, including woven geotextiles, nonwoven geotextiles, knitted geotextiles, geocomposites, geonets, geonet mats and metal fiber products.
2. Suitable for geogrids and geotextiles with similar mesh structures, but the sample size may need to be adjusted.
3. It is not suitable for polymer or asphalt anti-seepage geomembranes, but is suitable for clay anti-seepage geomembranes.
Test method
The entire width of a 200 mm wide geosynthetic material sample containing a joint/joint is clamped on the clamp of the tensile testing machine and stretched at a specified elongation rate (the tensile direction is perpendicular to the joint/joint) until the joint/joint of the sample breaks under the action of the tensile force.
