Test Background
Tensile creep performance refers to the phenomenon that the deformation of a material gradually increases with time under the action of a certain temperature and constant stress. Characterize the dimensional stability of reinforced materials under constant load. The tensile test of highly reinforced fiber filaments can determine the breaking strength, elongation at break, initial modulus and tensile creep properties of highly reinforced fiber filaments.

Scope of tests
is suitable for ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber, aromatic polyamide fiber (aramid), carbon fiber and other high-strength chemical fiber filaments (generally refers to filaments with a breaking strength greater than 10 cN/dtex).
Test method
Breaking strength, initial modulus: Stretch the sample until it breaks, and obtain the breaking strength and elongation. Calculate the breaking strength from the breaking strength and linear density; at the same time, obtain the slope of the tangent line on the stress-strain (strong elongation) curve that is initially close to a straight line, and calculate the initial modulus from this slope and linear density.
Tensile creep: Apply pre-tension to the sample to obtain the initial length, then apply a certain load for a certain period of time (or when the length of the sample no longer changes), measure the length of the sample again, and calculate the difference between the two lengths (ie, creep elongation) and the percentage of the initial length, which is the tensile creep elongation.
