Test Background
The tensile properties of fabrics refer to the mechanical deformation rules of fabrics when they are stretched by external forces along the warp and weft directions. The indicators include breaking strength, elongation at break, work of break, load at constant elongation, elongation at constant load, etc. Breaking strength is one of the main indicators used by the "National Standard" to evaluate the intrinsic quality of fabrics.
The tensile strength of fabrics is affected by fiber type, yarn fineness structure and blending ratio, fabric density, fabric structure, etc. The fabric tensile properties test can use the strip method to determine the breaking strength and elongation at break of the fabric.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has reliability testing capabilities for various fabrics and provides professional tensile property testing services for fabrics.
Scope of tests
Classification according to fabric processing method: woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, nonwoven fabrics;
Classification according to the spinning system of the fabric: combed fabric, carded fabric;
Classified according to different raw materials used in yarn: pure fabrics, blended fabrics, interwoven fabrics;
Classified according to different raw materials and production processes: cotton fabrics, wool fabrics, silk fabrics, linen fabrics, and pure fiber fabrics.
Test method
A fabric sample of specified size is stretched at a constant elongation speed until it breaks. Record the breaking strength and breaking elongation, and if necessary, record the breaking strength and breaking elongation.
1) Breaking strength: The maximum force recorded when a sample is pulled apart during a tensile test under specified conditions.
2) Elongation at break: the elongation of the sample under the action of the maximum force.
3) Breaking strength: During the tensile test under specified conditions, the final force recorded immediately before the specimen breaks.
4) Elongation at break: The elongation corresponding to the breaking strength.
