Test Background

Artificial panels belong to the category of composite materials in the materials discipline. According to their performance, they can be divided into two categories: structural materials and functional materials. The performance of structural materials is mainly mechanical properties and aging resistance. The mechanical test of structural artificial panels can measure the mechanical properties of structural artificial panels such as bending, tensile, compression and shear resistance.

Scope of tests

Structural man-made panels refer to structural plate-like materials made of veneer, shavings and other wood and bamboo units for load-bearing purposes through drying, sizing, assembly and pressing, including structural plywood, waffle board, oriented strand board, etc.

Test method

Bending performance test: pure bending performance in flat bending, apparent bending performance in flat bending, side bending bending performance
Tensile performance test: tensile elastic modulus, tensile stiffness, tensile strength
Compressive performance test: compressive elastic modulus, compressive stiffness, compressive strength
Shear performance test: out-of-plane shear performance, in-plane shear performance
