Test Background
Hard plastic compression test is suitable for the measurement of compressive elastic modulus, yield stress, deformation beyond the yield point and compressive strength of hard plastics and reinforced plastics at lower strain rates or loading rates.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various plastics and provides professional compression testing services for rigid plastics and related products.
Scope of tests
Suitable for rigid plastics and reinforced plastics.
Common hard plastics include: ABS, POM, PS, PMMA, PC, PET, PBT, PPO, etc.;
Common reinforced plastics include: granular reinforced plastics, fiber reinforced plastics, sheet reinforced plastics, cloth base, asbestos reinforced plastics, inorganic mineral filled plastics, glass fiber reinforced plastics, SMC, BMC and other special fiber reinforced plastics, metal fiber reinforced plastics, etc.
Test method
1. Unless otherwise specified in the material specification. The test was conducted at a temperature of 23°C ± 2°C and a relative humidity of 50% ± 5%. The arbitration test shall be conducted at a temperature of 23°C ± 1°C and a relative humidity of 50% ± 2%.
2. Other test environment conditions shall be implemented in accordance with relevant regulations and shall be noted in the test report.
Test standard:
HB 8414-2013 Test method for compression properties of rigid plastics
GB/T 1446 General principles for performance test methods of fiber reinforced plastics
