Test Background
Tensile properties are used to analyze the static tensile mechanical properties of the material through the tensile stress-strain curve of the sample and various test data, and evaluate its tensile strength, yield strength, elongation at break and elastic modulus.
Tensile impact strength refers to the ratio of the impact energy consumed when a sample is damaged by tensile impact force to the minimum cross-section of the sample before testing. The plastic tensile impact test measures the tensile impact properties of plastics at higher deformation rates.

Scope of tests
is suitable for plastic materials that are too soft or too thin to conduct simple beam or cantilever beam impact tests. It is also suitable for hard plastic materials.
Test method
One end of the sample is fixed on the fixture of the pendulum impact testing machine, and the other end is fixed on the T-head. The one-way swing of the pendulum provides energy to impact the T-head, causing the sample to be destroyed at a high tensile deformation rate. The T-head is thrown out together with a part of the sample. The energy consumed by the pendulum and the gauge length before and after the sample is destroyed are measured. After correction and calculation, the tensile impact strength and permanent elongation at break of the sample are obtained.
Test results from specimens of different types or sizes cannot be compared.
