Test Background
Bending tests are mainly used to test the performance of materials when subjected to bending loads. Bending tests are commonly used in production to evaluate the bending strength and plastic deformation of materials. They are important reference indicators for quality control and application design. The plastic bending test can apply a static three-point bending load to a small sample to determine the bending performance. It is suitable for hard thermoplastics and thermosetting plastics, but is not suitable for reinforced plastics.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various plastics and provides professional bending testing services for plastics and related products.
Scope of tests
is suitable for rigid thermoplastics and thermosetting plastics, not for reinforced plastics.
Test method
Support the specimen as a crossbeam and bend it at a constant speed at the center of the span until the specimen breaks or the deformation reaches a predetermined value, and the bending stress exerted on the specimen during this process is measured.
The bending test is generally performed on an electronic universal testing machine, and only the tensile fixture needs to be replaced by a bending fixture.
Test standard:
