Test Background
Geotextile, also known as geotextile, is a water-permeable geosynthetic material made of synthetic fibers through needle punching or weaving. Geotextile is one of the new geosynthetic materials. The finished product is cloth-shaped, generally 4-6 meters wide and 50-100 meters long.
The geotextile tensile test can use wide strip samples to measure the tensile properties of geotextiles and related products. It is suitable for most geotextiles, including woven geotextiles, non-woven geotextiles, composite geotextiles, knitted geotextiles and felt pads. It is also suitable for geogrids, but the sample size may need to be adjusted.

Scope of tests
1. Geotextiles can be mainly divided into woven geotextiles and non-woven geotextiles.
2. Geotextiles can also be divided into three series: needle-punched non-woven geotextiles, needle-punched non-woven fabrics and PE film composite geotextiles, and non-woven and woven composite geotextiles.
3. According to the different raw material fibers used, it can be divided into short fiber geotextiles, short fiber needle punched geotextiles, filament woven geotextiles, anti-seepage geotextiles, composite geotextiles, warp knitted composite geotextiles, polypropylene geotextiles, woven geotextiles, singed geotextiles, polyester filament geotextiles, etc.
Test method
Clamp the entire width of the sample on the clamp of the tensile testing machine, and stretch the sample until it breaks. The tensile properties of the specimen are recorded and calculated by the recording device of the testing machine.
For all geotextiles and related products, the elongation rate is fixed at (20%±5%)/min of the gauge length.
