Scope of tests
Commonly used fiber-reinforced plastics include polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyester (PET) and other high-molecular polymers and high-purity natural wood, as well as some man-made fibers (cellulose fibers), glass-reinforced resins and metal fibers.
It can be divided into three categories according to its molding methods: thermoplastic resin, thermosetting resin, and polycarbonate.
Test method
A sample of a specific shape is loaded at a constant speed, and the load direction is consistent with the direction between the sample layers, so that it is sheared and damaged in the specified shear plane to measure the interlaminar shear strength.
