Test Background
Fiber-reinforced plastic bending test can determine the bending strength, bending elastic modulus, bending stress under specified deflection and bending load-deflection curve of fiber-reinforced plastics.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various fiber-reinforced plastics and provides professional bending test services for fiber-reinforced plastics.
Scope of tests
Commonly used fiber-reinforced plastics include polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyester (PET) and other high-molecular polymers and high-purity natural wood, as well as some man-made fibers (cellulose fibers), glass-reinforced resins and metal fibers.
It can be divided into three categories according to its molding methods: thermoplastic resin, thermosetting resin, and polycarbonate.
Test method
1. Using unconstrained support, through three-point bending, the specimen is damaged or reaches a predetermined deflection value at a constant loading rate.
2. During the entire process, measure the load applied to the specimen and the deflection of the specimen to determine the bending strength, bending elastic modulus, and the relationship between bending stress and strain.
