Test Background
Carbon/carbon composites are carbon fiber-reinforced carbon-based composites. The carbon/carbon composite tensile test can measure the tensile strength, tensile elastic modulus, Poisson's ratio, proportional ultimate stress, and proportional ultimate strain of three-dimensional punctured carbon/carbon composites and quasi-three-dimensional needle-punched carbon/carbon composites at room temperature.

Scope of tests
According to the type or weaving method of fibers, carbon/carbon composite materials can be divided into short fiber reinforced carbon/carbon composite materials, unidirectional continuous fiber reinforced carbon/carbon composite materials, laminated fabric (carbon cloth overlapping or raw silk felting) reinforced carbon/carbon composite materials, and three-dimensional braid reinforced carbon/carbon composite materials.
Test method
1. Continuously load the sample at a loading rate of 0.5 mm/min~1.0 mm/min until the sample is destroyed. Continuously measure and record load-strain data and maximum load.
2. After the sample is damaged, conduct a visual visual inspection of the fractured part of the sample, and record the failure mode of the sample. Specimens that are damaged at the root of the clamping section and within the clamping section are invalid specimens.
