Test Background
In recent years, artificial leather and synthetic leather materials have been widely used in products such as clothing, bags, gloves, and sofas, and have gradually become a substitute for natural leather. The tensile property is a very important quality assessment indicator of leather and an important indicator for testing the stretchability and tensile strength of leather products. The artificial leather tensile test can determine the tensile load and elongation at break of artificial leather.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to test the reliability performance of various artificial leather and synthetic leather, and provides professional tensile testing services for artificial leather.
Scope of tests
1. Classification according to the synthetic resin used: polyvinyl chloride artificial leather, polyamide artificial leather, polyolefin artificial leather, polyurethane artificial leather.
2. Classified by base material: cotton cloth-based artificial leather, synthetic fiber-based artificial leather and fiber-based artificial leather.
3. Classification by production method: direct coating and scraping method artificial leather, transfer coating and scraping method artificial leather, calendering and laminating method artificial leather, extrusion laminating method artificial leather, rotary screen coating method artificial leather, wet method artificial leather.
4. Classification by use: Artificial leather can be divided into two categories: civil use and industrial use.
Civilian leather includes: leather for shoe covers, leather for clothes, leather for boxes, straw for bags, leather for handbags, leather for gloves and carts, straw for furniture, etc. Industrial leather includes: vehicle leather, floor leather, etc.
Test method
1. A specimen of specified size is stretched at a constant elongation rate until it breaks, and the maximum load and elongation at break are recorded.
2. Three test methods, namely strip method (Method A), grab sample method (Method B), and dumbbell sample method (Method C).
