Low temperature flexural testing of rubber and plastic hoses

Low temperature flexural testing of rubber and plastic hoses-Mechanical Testing-

Test Background

Rubber and plastic hose breathability test evaluates whether rubber or plastic hoses can maintain sufficient flexibility at temperatures below ambient.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability to test the reliability performance of various rubber and plastic hoses, and provides professional low-temperature flexural testing services for rubber and plastic hoses.

Scope of tests

According to the purpose, it is mainly divided into: threading hose, drainage hose, ventilation hose, shower hose, and wiring harness tube.
According to the material, it is mainly divided into: corrugated hose, rubber hose, and plastic hose.

Test method

Method A applies to non-collapsible hoses with a nominal inner diameter up to and including 25 mm. It is a measure of the increase in stiffness compared to flexure at standard laboratory temperatures.
Method B is a simpler qualitative method suitable for controlled testing and is suitable for hoses with a nominal inner diameter up to and including 100 mm.

Test standard:

GB/T 5564-2006 Rubber and plastic hoses Low temperature flexural test
ISO 4672: 1997 Rubber and plastic hoses Flexibility test below ambient temperature
KS M ISO 4672-2013 Rubber and plastic hoses Flexibility test below ambient temperature
NEN-ISO 4672-1993 Rubber and plastic hoses Flexibility test below ambient temperature
EN ISO 4672-1999 Rubber and plastic hoses Flexibility test below ambient temperature
