Test Background
Rubber has good tensile strength, and the index of tensile strength depends on the hardness of the product. The lower the hardness, the better the tensile strength of the product. The hard rubber hardness test can measure the hardness of hard rubber by intruding a steel ball under a certain load.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to test the reliability performance of various hard rubbers and provides professional hardness testing services for hard rubbers.
Scope of tests
Hard rubber is mostly used to make hoses, glue sticks, rubber plates, partitions and battery cases. In addition, it is also widely used as protective equipment, insulating gloves, insulating rubber boots, etc.
The hard rubber hardness test is suitable for hard rubber such as medium resistance, electricity resistance, heat resistance and impact resistance.
Test method
This method is to apply a certain force on the surface of the sample and measure the depth of the steel ball pressed into the sample. Calculate the indentation area based on the penetration depth, and then calculate the hardness according to the following formula.
Hardness = applied force/indentation area
