Test Background
Compression test is a test to measure the mechanical properties of materials under axial static pressure. It is one of the basic methods for testing mechanical properties of materials. In the multiple compression test of vulcanized rubber, a reciprocating fatigue testing machine can be used to measure the temperature rise, sample deformation or fatigue life of the vulcanized rubber after multiple compressions.

Scope of tests
is suitable for vulcanized rubber with hardness below 85 (Shore A).
Test method
This test is to measure the temperature at the center of the sample and the deformation of the sample after repeatedly compressing the rubber sample with a certain frequency and a certain deformation amplitude for a certain period of time.
1. Adjust the testing machine according to the selected compression ratio and compression frequency. Place the measured height sample between the upper and lower pressure plates. Three samples can be placed at the same time, but the height deviation of the three samples should not be greater than 0.5 mm. The sample should be placed into the round hole of the lower pressure plate to prevent the sample from moving during the test.
2. Adjust the upper pressure plate so that it is in contact with the sample, but should not deform the sample. Then tighten the upper pressure plate and start the testing machine.
3. Repeat compression (25±1) minutes and immediately measure the temperature at the center. Insert a needle-shaped thermocouple into the middle of the side of the sample to measure the sample temperature. The needle thermocouple penetrates the sample to a depth of (16.0±0.5) mm. The measurement time should be completed within 5 s, and the three samples should not exceed 15 s.
4. Pull out the thermocouple, take out the sample from the upper and lower pressure plates, and measure its height after leaving it at standard laboratory temperature for 1 minute.
5. When doing a compression rupture test, the sample should be compressed until it ruptures, and the number of compressions or compression rupture time should be recorded.
