Test Background
Vulcanized rubber compression set test can measure the constant deformation compression set performance of rubber. Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability to test the reliability performance of various vulcanized rubbers and provides professional compression permanent deformation testing services for vulcanized rubber.
Scope of tests
In terms of its vulcanization method, vulcanized rubber can be roughly divided into:
1) Flat vulcanizing machine vulcanization: flat tapes such as conveyor belts and transmission belts;
2) Vulcanizing tank vulcanization: rubber hoses, rubber rollers, rubber shoes, air bags, rubber strips, tapes, roller coatings, pipe linings, cables, etc.;
3) Continuous vulcanization: sealing strips, pure rubber hoses, wires and cables, etc.
Test method
This test is to compress a vulcanized rubber sample to a specified height, and then measure the compression permanent deformation rate of the sample after a certain temperature and time, or after being infiltrated by a medium.
1. The prepared specimens should be conditioned at a specified standard laboratory temperature for at least 3 hours before testing. For comparable results, the same temperature should also be maintained throughout the test.
2. For tests under normal temperature conditions, the test temperature should be one of the standard laboratory temperatures (23±2)°C or (27±2)°C.
For tests under high temperature conditions, the test temperature should be selected from the following temperatures: (70±1)℃, (85±1)℃, (100±1)℃, (125±2)℃, (150±2)℃, (175±2)℃, (200±2)℃, (225±2)℃, (250±2)℃.
