Test Background
Interface bending strength refers to the maximum stress at which the interface reaches fracture under the bending load of a beam sample containing a butt interface. The fine ceramic interface bending strength test can use the four-point bending method at room temperature to determine the bending strength of the ceramic-ceramic, ceramic-metal butt interface.
Zhongke Testing and Reliability Experiment Center has the capabilities of environmental testing and reliability performance testing of various fine ceramics, and provides professional interface bending strength testing services for fine ceramics.
Scope of tests
Fine ceramics can be divided into two categories: structural ceramics and functional ceramics.
Structural ceramics: high-temperature ceramics, high-strength ceramics, superhard ceramics, corrosion-resistant ceramics
Functional ceramics: electronic ceramics, superconducting ceramics, optical ceramics, bioceramics, magnetic ceramics, energy storage ceramics
Test method
1. Load a rectangular cross-section beam sample containing butt joints through four-point bending until fracture. The interface bending strength was calculated using the load at fracture, the span and sample geometry.
2. After the sample is broken, the location of the fracture surface needs to be determined. If the break does not occur on the interface to be measured, the test is considered an invalid test, and the sample is not included in the valid test samples, but it needs to be recorded and marked accordingly in the test report.
If conditions permit, conduct fracture surface analysis to reveal the cause of the fracture.
