Room temperature tensile strength test of fine ceramics-Mechanical Testing-

Test Background

Tensile strength refers to the tensile stress at which the specimen breaks in a tensile strength test. The fine ceramic room temperature tensile strength test can determine the uniaxial tensile strength of bulk fine ceramics, whisker-reinforced or particle-reinforced ceramic matrix composites at room temperature.
Zhongke Testing and Reliability Experiment Center has the capabilities of environmental testing and reliability performance testing of various fine ceramics, and provides professional room temperature tensile strength testing services for fine ceramics.

Scope of tests

Fine ceramics can be divided into two categories: structural ceramics and functional ceramics.
Structural ceramics: high-temperature ceramics, high-strength ceramics, superhard ceramics, corrosion-resistant ceramics
Functional ceramics: electronic ceramics, superconducting ceramics, optical ceramics, bioceramics, magnetic ceramics, energy storage ceramics

Test method

1. The test applies tensile force to the sample through unidirectional loading until it breaks to obtain its tensile strength.
2. After the test, determine the fracture location and record the fracture force. The reading accuracy should reach 1.0%.
If necessary, use a microscope to determine the location and type of fracture source.
