Test Background
The metal material bending test can determine the ability of the metal material to withstand bending plastic deformation. It is suitable for bending tests of specimens specified in product standards related to metal materials, but is not suitable for bending tests of metal pipes and metal welded joints.

Scope of tests
Metals are divided into light, heavy, precious, semi-gold, rare and special, among which light metals include calcium, potassium, magnesium and aluminum.
Heavy metals made from these materials are generally copper, lead, and zinc, and precious metals are generally made from gold and silver. Semimetals made of silicon and boron are usually used, and some radioactive metals are used in the manufacturing process.
Test method
1. The bending test is to use a circular, square, rectangular or polygonal cross-section specimen to undergo bending plastic deformation on a bending device without changing the direction of force until the specified bending angle is reached.
2. During the bending test, the axes of the two arms of the specimen should be kept in a plane perpendicular to the bending axis. For example, if it is a bending test at an angle of 180°, in accordance with the requirements of relevant product standards, the sample can be bent until the two arms are in direct contact or the two arms are parallel to each other and separated by a specified distance, and spacers can be used to control the specified distance.
