Test Background
The mechanical properties of metal materials are an important symbol of their performance and reliability. Tensile properties are even more important parameters of the mechanical properties of metal materials. Through tensile tests, many mechanical indicators of metal materials such as tensile strength and elongation can be obtained, creating value for scientific research on materials. The room temperature tensile test of metal materials can evaluate the gap sensitivity of metal materials to damage under room temperature tensile loads with large energy.
Zhongke Testing and Reliability Experiment Center has the capabilities of environmental testing and reliability performance testing of various metal materials, and provides professional room temperature tensile testing services for metal materials.
Scope of tests
Metal materials are classified by category and can be divided into rare, special, light, heavy, precious and semi-gold.
Light metal: generally made of copper, lead, and zinc, including aluminum, magnesium, potassium, and calcium;
Precious Metals: Made of gold and silver;
Half gold: Made using silicon and boron;
Rare metals: Made of some radioactive metals.
Test method
The test system uses tensile force to stretch the sample, usually until it breaks, to measure one or more mechanical properties. Unless otherwise specified, the test shall be conducted at room temperature between 10°C and 35°C. For laboratories whose room temperature does not meet the above requirements, the laboratory should evaluate the impact of testing machines operating under such environmental conditions on test results and/or calibration data.
When test and calibration activities exceed the requirements of 10°C to 35°C, the temperature shall be recorded and reported. If large temperature gradients exist during testing and/or calibration, measurement uncertainty may increase and out-of-tolerance situations may occur. For tests with strict temperature requirements, the test temperature should be 23℃±5℃. If the elastic modulus is required to be measured, it should be carried out as required.
