Test Background
Shear strength refers to the ability of the adhesive tape to withstand shear force, and refers to the strength limit when the external force is perpendicular to the axis of the adhesive tape and exerts a shearing effect on the adhesive tape. Dynamic shear strength refers to the shear strength of soil under dynamic load. Its influencing factors include shear strain amplitude, effective confining pressure, void ratio, particle characteristics, soil structure, stress history, saturation, frequency and time.
The dynamic shear strength test of the adhesive tape can stick the adhesive tape on a specific bonding surface under the condition of a specified width, stretch it at a certain rate in the direction parallel to the bonding surface, and measure the maximum force required when bonding failure occurs. Scope of tests
According to the different types of adhesive tapes, the dynamic shear strength test methods of adhesive tapes are divided into three types:
Single-sided adhesive tape, double-sided adhesive tape and foam adhesive tape.
Test method
Paste the adhesive tape sample on the test steel plate under a certain pressure, and apply tensile shear force to the bonding surface at a constant rate in the direction parallel to the bonding surface.
The adhesive layer on the adhesive tape's bonding surface deforms under the action of shear force. As the shear force increases, the deformation of the adhesive layer on the adhesive tape's bonding surface increases and eventually the bonding failure occurs.
