Test Background
Bending strength refers to the maximum stress that a material can withstand when it breaks under bending load or reaches a specified bending moment. This stress is the maximum normal stress during bending, measured in MPa (MPa). It reflects the material's ability to resist bending and is used to measure the bending performance of the material. The Synthetic Stone Bending Strength Test determines the flexural strength of synthetic stone.

Scope of tests
According to the binder material of synthetic stone, it is classified: cement synthetic stone, resin type synthetic stone, composite synthetic stone;
According to the aggregate classification of synthetic stone: synthetic stone composed of marble (or calcium) synthetic stone, quartz (or siliceous) synthetic stone, marble or other calcareous synthetic stone, quartz, quartz sand, granite, porphyry and other siliceous stones, synthetic stone made of other stone materials (such as dolomite, serpentine, calcite, etc.).
Test method
Place the dry specimen on two circular axes and gradually apply a load in the middle of the specimen. Measure the load value when the specimen breaks to calculate the bending strength.
1. Adjust the distance (l) between the two support shafts to be 20 mm less than the specimen length (L). The allowable deviation of the distance between the two support shafts is ±1mm.
2. Clean the surfaces of the three axes on the testing equipment and the surfaces of the specimens in contact with them.
3. The facing of the specimen should be in contact with the loading axis (facing upward method). Unless the back side of the specimen is very uneven, the facing can be used to contact the support shaft (facing downward method), and the loading direction adopted is recorded.
4. Place the sample on the two support shafts, adjust the front and rear positions so that they are in the middle, and then place the load-applying shaft in the middle of the sample.
5. Increase the load at a loading speed of (0.25±0.05) MPa/s until the sample breaks. Record the load value and fracture position at the time of fracture. The reading is accurate to 10 N.
6. Measure the width (b) and thickness (h) of the sample near the fracture, accurate to 0.1 mm.
