Test Background
Tensile bond strength can reflect the ability of the adhesive to withstand normal stress. The tensile bond strength test of building insulation products determines the tensile bond strength of insulation materials to adhesives and base coatings.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various building insulation products, and provides professional reliability testing services such as tensile bond strength testing for building insulation products.
Scope of tests
Inorganic fibrous products: asbestos products, mineral wool products, glass wool products, ceramic fiber products
Inorganic granular products: expanded vermiculite products, expanded perlite products
Inorganic porous products: diatomite products, microporous calcium silicate products, foam glass products, foam concrete and aerated concrete products
Test method
The tensile bond strength of the insulation material to the adhesive and base coating is obtained by measuring the load perpendicular to the direction of the bonding surface of the adhesive or base coating. Tensile load is measured by adhesively bonding a rigid plate to an adhesive or base coating.
1. Carry out tensile bond strength test according to ISO 29765 until the sample is damaged. The testing machine applies a tensile load perpendicular to the specimen section through a rigid plate.
2. Apply load at a constant speed of (10±1) mm/min.
3. Record the tensile failure load. Discard the specimens in which the failure occurs between the specimen and the rigid plate, that is, the adhesive is damaged.
