Test Background
Creep refers to the phenomenon that the compression deformation of solid materials increases with time under specified load conditions. If high-temperature components produce excessive creep deformation during their service life, they will cause early failure of the components.
Therefore, a mechanical property index is needed to describe the creep resistance produced by long-term loading of thermal insulation products under high temperature conditions. The compression creep performance test of building insulation products can measure the compression creep performance of the sample under different pressure conditions.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various building insulation products, and provides professional reliability testing services such as compression creep performance testing for building insulation products.
Scope of tests
Inorganic fibrous products: asbestos products, mineral wool products, glass wool products, ceramic fiber products
Inorganic granular products: expanded vermiculite products, expanded perlite products
Inorganic porous products: diatomite products, microporous calcium silicate products, foam glass products, foam concrete and aerated concrete products
Test method
Compression creep is expressed by measuring the incremental deformation of a specimen under constant compressive stress and specified conditions of temperature, relative humidity and time.
1. According to ISO 29768, measure the thickness of the specimen without using a loading device.
2. Place the sample under the loading device. The thickness of the specimen under the dead weight of the loading device is the benchmark value for deformation measurement.
3. Apply corresponding stress evenly to the sample within (10±5) s.
4. Measure the initial deformation after loading (60±5) s.
5. Measure the deformation after loading for the following corresponding times: 0.1h, 1h.5h, 1d, 2d, 4d, 7d, 9d.11d, 14d, 18d, 24d, 32d, 42d, 53d, 65d, 80d, 90d to 100d.
