Test Background
Bending tests are mainly used to test the performance of materials when subjected to bending loads. Bending tests are commonly used in production to evaluate the bending strength and plastic deformation of materials. The bending performance test of building insulation products can measure the three-point bending performance of full-size products and small samples, the bending strength and deformation under specified loads, and the bending stress that the product can withstand during transportation and application.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various building insulation products, and provides professional bending performance testing and other reliability testing services for building insulation products.
Scope of tests
Inorganic fibrous products: asbestos products, mineral wool products, glass wool products, ceramic fiber products
Inorganic granular products: expanded vermiculite products, expanded perlite products
Inorganic porous products: diatomite products, microporous calcium silicate products, foam glass products, foam concrete and aerated concrete products
Test method
Place the cut rectangular specimen on the two stands, and use a loading indenter to apply load F at a certain speed in the direction perpendicular to the specimen. The load loading position is between the two supports, that is, at L/2.
1. Measure the length and width of the full-size product sample (Method A), and measure the thickness of the sample.
2. Measure the length, width and thickness of the sample (Method B), accurate to ±1%.
3. The span L should meet the following requirements, accurate to ±0.5%: Method A: full-size product length minus 100 mm; Method B: 5 times the nominal thickness of the sample.
4. Other spans shall be stipulated in relevant product standards or agreed upon by all relevant parties.
5. Place the specimen symmetrically on the two supports, with the loading direction perpendicular to the long axis of the specimen.
6. Adjust the test speed to (10±1) mm/min.
7. Record the load-deformation curve and mark the maximum load F.
8. Record the specimen failure mode.
