Test Background
Thermal insulation materials refer to materials that can block the transfer of heat flow, also known as thermal insulation materials. The shear performance test of building thermal insulation products can evaluate the impact of two parallel and opposite loads on the two main planes of the sample, and can reflect the stress state of thermal insulation products when used in buildings, especially on walls.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various building insulation products, and provides professional reliability testing services such as shear performance testing for building insulation products.
Scope of tests
Inorganic fibrous products: asbestos products, mineral wool products, glass wool products, ceramic fiber products
Inorganic granular products: expanded vermiculite products, expanded perlite products
Inorganic porous products: diatomite products, microporous calcium silicate products, foam glass products, foam concrete and aerated concrete products
Test method
The shear stress is transferred to the sample through the rigid support plate bonded to the sample, causing the sample to be sheared, and the corresponding load-displacement curve is recorded.
1. Measure the length, width and thickness of the sample.
2. Use appropriate adhesive to bond the sample to the support plate.
3. The distance between the two main planes of the sample cannot change by more than 1%.
4. Install the test piece on the testing machine, and load the testing machine at a speed of (3±0.5) mm/min.
5. Record the load-displacement (F-y) curve.
6. If the damage occurs in the adhesive layer, discard the sample and resample for testing.
