Test Background
The main effects of vibration environment on marine instruments include: causing or promoting structural fatigue; mechanical wear; collision and functional damage of components; loosening of fasteners/devices, etc. These effects can lead to electrical failures in marine instruments, component failures, seal failures, mechanical failures, strong electrical noise and other failures.
Marine instrument vibration tests can assess or determine the suitability of marine instruments for use under vibration conditions. Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has environmental testing capabilities for various marine instruments and provides professional vibration testing and other environmental testing services for marine instrument products.
Test Grade
1. Vibration frequency Unless otherwise specified, the vibration frequency of marine instruments should be selected from the following values:
a) Lower limit frequency: 1 Hz, 2 Hz, 10 Hz, 16 Hz, 25 Hz, 35 Hz;
b) Upper limit frequency: 10 Hz, 16 Hz, 35 Hz, 50 Hz, 55 Hz, 60 Hz, 100 Hz, 160 Hz;
c) Test the frequency agreed upon by both parties.
2. Vibration amplitude Unless otherwise specified, the vibration amplitude of marine instruments should be selected from the following values:
a) Displacement amplitude: 0.35 mm, 0.50 mm, 0.75 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.6 mm, 2.5 mm;
Acceleration amplitude: 5 m/s2, 10 m/s3.25 m/s2, 40 m/s3, 50 m/s3, 100 m/s3.
b) Test the amplitude agreed upon by both parties.
3. Duration Unless otherwise specified, the number of cycles and duration of marine instrument vibration should be selected from the following values:
a) Number of cycles of frequency sweep test: 2, 10, 20;
b) Fixed frequency test duration: 10 min, 30 min, 90 min.
Test method
Marine instrument vibration test test methods include sweep frequency endurance test and fixed frequency endurance test.
1. Frequency sweep endurance test: Select the frequency range, amplitude and duration for frequency sweep according to the agreement between the test parties. If necessary, the frequency range can be divided into several segments according to the regulations, but this cannot reduce the stress on the sample.
2. Fixed frequency endurance test Fixed frequency endurance test is divided into fixed frequency and near fixed frequency tests.
a) The fixed frequency is the central resonance frequency. The frequency applied during the test should always be maintained at the actual dangerous frame rate;
b) Near-fixed frequency means scanning within a limited frequency range. If the actual dangerous frequency is not very clear, for example, when vibration occurs or multiple independent test samples are tested at the same time, in order to ensure a sufficient excitation effect, the frequency can be swept within a frequency range of 0.8 to 1.2 times the dangerous frequency.
