Test Background
The main impacts of the tilt and rocking environment on marine instruments include: friction changes and mutual interference between parts; leakage of liquid media; wear and tear of contact parts; performance changes of gravity-sensitive devices, etc. These effects can lead to mechanical failures of marine instruments; electrical failures; liquid leakage; and reduced equipment performance. The tilt and swing test of marine instruments can assess or determine the adaptability of marine instruments under tilt and swing conditions.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the environmental testing capabilities for various marine instruments, and provides professional environmental testing services such as tilt and swing tests for marine instrument products.
Test environment
1. The tilting environment is generally caused by ship casualties, maneuvering, unbalanced loading and wind. Inclination includes pitch and heel.
2. The swaying environment is generally caused by the ship being affected by external forces such as wind and waves. Swing includes pitch and roll. Pitch and roll refer to the periodic angular displacement motion of the ship around its longitudinal and transverse coordinate axes.
3. The tilt test can be carried out on a swing test bench or platform. The sway test should generally be carried out on a sine sway test bench that can simulate one or several ship sway forms.
For samples with random (irregular) swing test requirements, the test severity level is specified by the relevant standards. Can be carried out on a random swing test bench.
Test method
1. Initial measurement
The test samples shall be visually inspected and tested for mechanical and electrical properties in accordance with relevant standards.
2. Test
Adjust the state that the test sample should be in during the test according to the relevant standards. After it is stable, select the test conditions for the test sample according to the regulations, and use monitoring instruments to monitor the test parameters. At the same time, perform necessary performance testing during the test process according to the relevant standards. The test sequence is first tilt and then swing, first vertically and then transversely.
3. Finally detect
The test samples should be visually inspected and tested for mechanical and electrical properties in accordance with relevant standards.
