Test Background
Compression permanent deformation refers to the difference between the initial thickness of the sample and the final thickness of the sample after compression at a specified time and temperature and after a specified recovery time. The size of the difference is related to the initial thickness. The purpose of the compression permanent deformation test of polymer porous elastic materials is to determine the compression permanent deformation performance of sponge-like materials.

Scope of tests
is suitable for latex and polyurethane foam materials with a thickness greater than 2 mm.
Test method
1. At the specified time and temperature, maintain constant deformation of the sample, and record the change in thickness of the sample after pressure relief.
2. Compressor: It consists of two flat plates that are larger than the sample. The flat plates should have distance adjustment and clamping functions. The two plates are kept parallel to each other, and the distance between the two plates can be adjusted to the thickness required for deformation. When testing thin specimens, a glass plate should be used with a thickness of 1~1.5 mm and a side length of 50~55 mm.
3. The instrument used to measure the size of the specimen should meet the requirements.
4. The temperature controlled by the thermostat should be accurate to ±1°C.
