Geological Instrument Impact Test

Geological Instrument Impact Test-Mechanical Testing-

Test Background

The impact test is mainly used to determine the ability of electrical and electronic components, equipment and other products to withstand non-repeated mechanical impacts during use and transportation to evaluate their adaptability to the impact environment and structural integrity. Secondly, it is used for internal strength testing of microelectronic devices. Impact testing can also be used as a means of satisfactory product design and quality control. The purpose of the geological instrument impact test is to determine the adaptability to withstand impacts during use and transportation and to evaluate the integrity of the structure.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has environmental testing capabilities for various geological instrument products and provides professional impact testing services for geological instrument products.

Test method

1. Calibration of the test bench: Calibrate using a combination of a simulated object with an approximate weight of the product under test and an impact bench to meet the requirements.
2. Initial measurement: Place the product under test under normal atmospheric conditions for at least 1 hour to allow it to reach temperature stability, and then test the appearance, mechanical and electrical properties of the product under test according to the product technical standards (technical conditions).
3. Installation of the product under test; the product under test should be fastened to the impact test bench according to normal installation methods, so that the impact force is directly transmitted to the body of the product under test and is not allowed to pass through shock-absorbing feet, handles or any other buffering devices.
4. Impact test
1) The impact test is carried out according to the conditions specified in the table. Three mutually perpendicular axes are impacted three times on each surface, for a total of eighteen times. Test samples with completely symmetrical structure and performance are allowed to reduce one corresponding test surface. When there is only one test surface due to gravity, the test can be performed on one surface, but the total number of tests shall not be less than 18 times.
2) During the impact process, sensors, accelerometers, etc. can be installed on the rigid parts of the structure for monitoring.
5. Final inspection: After the impact test is completed, remove the product under test and restore it to normal atmospheric conditions for 30 minutes before measuring. Visual inspection: There is no damage to the appearance, no cracks or deformations in the structure, no loosening of fasteners, and no falling off of components or devices.
