Test Background
coated fabric resistance to combined shear flexure and friction performance tests.
Zhongke Testing Environmental Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to conduct environmental testing and reliability performance testing of various rubber or plastic coated fabric materials and products, and provides professional combined shear, flex, and friction resistance testing services for coated fabrics.
Test Principle
A friction machine causes the sample to bend continuously, so that the bending part of the sample undergoes slight abrasion and continuous friction. The wear condition of the specimens was evaluated visually.
Test method
The test for the combined shear flexure and friction resistance of rubber or plastic coated fabrics consists of two evaluation methods, friction is generated by forcing by application of a presser foot (Method A) or by simple contact between specimen faces (Method B).
Method B (no presser foot applied) is suitable in all cases where the presser foot would damage the specimen through unwanted frictional action, e.g. materials with sticky surfaces, polyurethane gloss coatings on rough surfaces.
