Test Background
The sand and dust test mainly simulates the sand weather in the natural environment, and then conducts the test. It mainly tests the sand resistance and anti-corrosion capabilities of the instrument. The hydrological instrument sand and dust test can determine the sealing performance of the hydrological instrument product casing against solid particles. The protection test of hydrological instrument products is mainly applicable to the two levels of IP5X and IP6X specified in GB4208-2008.

Scope of tests
Instruments, equipment or devices for observing hydrological elements, collectively referred to as hydrological instruments, are mainly divided into: water level instruments, flow velocity instruments, precipitation instruments, water temperature instruments, ice ice instruments, soil water instruments, sediment testing instruments, water quality sampling instruments, hydrological testing equipment and measuring tools, counting display and recording instruments, communication telemetry instruments and equipment, data conversion and processing instruments
Specifically, it includes: hydrological patrol vehicles, automatic hydrological reporting devices, water level sensors, water level needles, remote thermometers, semiconductor thermometers, neutron water meters, suspended sediment samplers, ultrasonic detectors, etc.
Test method
1. Test samples should generally be in an unpackaged, unpowered, and "ready to use" state. The total volume should not exceed 1/3 of the effective space of the test box (room), the bottom area should not exceed 1/2 of the effective horizontal area, and the distance between test samples and the inner wall of the test box (room) should not be less than 100 mm.
2. According to relevant standards, test samples can also be tested in use.
3. Stop blowing for 2 hours before taking out the test sample.
4. Recovery: After the test sample is taken out, it should generally be placed under normal atmospheric conditions for 1 h to 2 h.
5. Final inspection After the test, the test samples shall be inspected for appearance and basic performance inspection in accordance with the provisions of product standards (technical conditions).
