The sand and dust test is used to evaluate the resistance of test equipment to dry sand or dust-filled atmosphere and whether it can be stored and operated. The digital communication equipment sand and dust test can determine the adaptability of digital communication equipment to the flying sand and dust environment.

Scope of tests
1. Divided according to business type: telegraph, telephone, video conference, fax, data communication, etc.
2. According to the transmission medium, it is divided into: wireless communication and wired communication

4. According to the signal multiplexing method, it is divided into: frequency division multiplexing, time division multiplexing and code division multiplexing
5. According to whether the communicator is moving, it is divided into: fixed communication and mobile communication
Test method
1. Dust blowing test: The dust particles are angular silica powder, and its silica content is 97%~99% by mass.
2. Sand blowing test: The sand particles should be quartz sand, with a silica content of more than 95% by mass.
3. Carry out as required. During the visual inspection, attention should be paid to checking whether and how much dust particles accumulate in the bearings, grease seals, and lubricated parts of the test sample; pay attention to checking the corrosion and clogging of the test sample by sand particles and the penetration of sand and dust. Then, evaluate the test results as required.
