Test Background
An antenna generally refers to a tool used for communication and receiving signals. With the development of the Internet era, signal tools received by antennas are increasingly integrated into the human world and become more and more important to people's daily lives. If the antenna is exposed to the sun for a long time, it will be easily corroded, oxidized, moistened, and dusted by rainwater. The ability to receive signals can be affected by antenna corrosion.
If the antenna has protection level standards at this time, the antenna will not be damaged by the above natural conditions. The rain test of a television broadcast receiving antenna can determine its waterproof level.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the reliable performance of various TV broadcast receiving antennas and provides professional rain test services for TV broadcast receiving antennas.
Scope of tests
① Classification according to the band used: long wave, ultra-long wave antennas, medium wave antennas, short wave antennas, ultra short wave antennas, microwave antennas and millimeter wave antennas.
② Classified by use: communication antennas, broadcast antennas, TV antennas, radar antennas, navigation antennas, direction finding antennas, etc.
③ Classified by antenna characteristics: strong directional antennas, weak directional antennas, directional antennas, omnidirectional antennas, needle beam antennas, sector beam antennas, etc.
④Classification according to the current distribution on the antenna: there are traveling wave antennas and standing wave antennas.
Test method
1. The antenna should withstand the water spray test of eight nozzles, in which water from four nozzles is sprayed directly to the top four corners of the antenna under test at an angle of 45°. The remaining four nozzles spray in a horizontal direction directly to the weakest point among the four sides of the antenna specified in the technical specifications.
2. Each nozzle should be placed 500~750mm away from the corner or edge of the antenna under test, or according to the distance specified in the relevant technical specifications.
3. The duration of the rain test for the antenna is 1 hour.
