Test Background

Thermal cycle test of metal thermal barrier coating can evaluate the thermal insulation performance and thermal cycle resistance performance of the thermal barrier coating of hot end components. Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the mechanical testing capabilities for various metal thermal barrier coatings and provides professional thermal cycle testing services for metal thermal barrier coatings.

Scope of tests

is suitable for thermal barrier coatings on hot-end components, such as combustion chambers, moving blades and stator blades of thermal power plants, aircraft engines and rocket engines, gas turbines, etc.

Test method

1. Conduct a cyclic heating test on the specimen with a thermal barrier coating to measure the change in equivalent thermal conductivity or acoustic emission frequency to evaluate the thermal insulation performance of the thermal barrier coating.
2. Evaluate the thermal cycle performance of the thermal barrier coating by visually observing the peeling and cracking of the test piece, and determine the number of thermal cycles required to reach the damage tolerance.
