Test Background
The mold growth test is to simulate an environment in the laboratory. This environment includes the types of mold spores that are common in the natural environment of the product, as well as the temperature and humidity environment suitable for spore growth, and the nutrients for mold growth are provided by the product.
After mold enters the interior of electronic products, the growing hyphae easily absorb water and form a "biological bridge", causing damage to electronic products, such as short-circuit burning of components, conductivity of insulation products, etc. The mold growth test of ground radio navigation equipment can determine its anti-mold performance.

Scope of tests
Ground radio navigation equipment is an integral part of the radio navigation system.
Ground equipment can be divided into three parts: heading beacon, glide beacon, pointing beacon or range finder. When the rangefinder is part of an instrument landing system, it is usually mounted on the glide beacon.
Test method
Evaluate the degree and grade of mold growth: The degree of mold growth is identified and graded according to the following regulations.
Level 0: No mold growth can be observed at 50 times magnification.
Level 1: Mold cannot be seen with the naked eye, but it is very obvious when magnified 50 times.
Level 2: Mold growth is clearly visible to the naked eye, but the coverage area on the surface of the test sample is less than 25%.
Level 3: Mold is obviously growing, covering more than 25% of the surface of the test sample.
