Test Background
As we all know, ground radio navigation equipment will be affected by various types of water to varying degrees whether it is in working condition or in storage. Among them, being affected by rain is the most common. Although some equipment has rainproof measures, it will also be affected by condensation or leakage water exposed on its upper surface.
When it rains, due to the penetration, flow, impact and accumulation of rainwater, it will have various impacts on ground radio navigation equipment. The rain test of ground radio navigation equipment can assess the waterproofness of the equipment under test and provide a high degree of confidence in the waterproofness of the equipment.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to conduct environmental testing of various navigation equipment, and provides professional rain environment testing services for ground radio navigation equipment.
Scope of tests
Ground radio navigation equipment is an integral part of the radio navigation system.
Ground equipment can be divided into three parts: heading beacon, glide beacon, pointing beacon or range finder. When the rangefinder is part of an instrument landing system, it is usually mounted on the glide beacon.
Test method
1. Install the test sample according to product standards and regulations and close its doors and windows.
2. Conduct initial testing on test samples as required.
3. Adjust the distance between the nozzle hole and the surface of the test sample to make the environmental requirements meet the specified value.
4. Shower in the rain for 1 hour as required.
5. After the test, wipe off the rainwater around the test sample.
Conduct final inspection on test samples as required. Visual inspection should show no leakage of rain water.
