Test Background

Solar radiation test is an artificial simulated environment test that simulates the effects of products exposed to solar radiation during use on the ground or in the lower atmosphere or during unshielded storage. For unshielded terrestrial radio navigation equipment exposed to the open air, the effects of solar radiation should be considered during transportation and use.
The solar radiation test for terrestrial radio navigation equipment can evaluate the ability of equipment used and stored outdoors without shelter to withstand the thermal and optical effects of solar radiation.
The Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has environmental testing capabilities for various navigation equipment and provides professional solar radiation environmental testing services for ground radio navigation equipment.

Scope of tests

Ground radio navigation equipment is an integral part of the radio navigation system.
Ground equipment can be divided into three parts: heading beacon, glide beacon, pointing beacon or range finder. When the rangefinder is part of an instrument landing system, it is usually mounted on the glide beacon.

Test method

1. The test sample should be placed on a sample rack similar to the usage situation, and the test sample should be guaranteed to obtain the specified radiation intensity, and the influence of mutual radiant heat should be avoided.
2. When controlling the temperature, the difference between the vertical and horizontal installation of the lamp should be taken into consideration, a certain number of sensors should be reasonably placed in different positions, and the radiant heat should be properly isolated, and the temperature should meet the requirements.
3. The surface of the test sample should be clean and pretreated according to product standards. Conduct initial testing of test samples as required.
4. According to different test purposes, choose one of the following test methods:
Method A mainly evaluates thermal effects;
Method B mainly evaluates the degradation effect;
Method C mainly evaluates photochemical effects.
