Waterproof test of road vehicle lamps

With the rapid development of society, there are more and more cars on the road. Car lights become very important when driving at night or in rainy weather. If the waterproof performance of the car lights is poor, water, oil and dust collected when the vehicle is driven or cleaned will enter the interior of the car lights, causing the lights to fog up, which may cause the lights to malfunction and affect the safety of the vehicle while driving.
Therefore, it is necessary to perform waterproof testing on car lights. The road vehicle lighting waterproofing test determines the waterproofing performance of exterior lighting and light signaling devices on motor vehicles and trailers.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to test the environmental durability of various lighting devices, and provides professional waterproof testing services for external lighting and optical signaling devices of road vehicles.

Vehicle front lights include: low beam, high beam, front position lights, daytime running lights, front turn lights, front fog lights, corner lights, side turn lights, parking lights;
Vehicle rear lights include: brake lights, rear position lights, rear turn lights, reversing lights, rear fog lights, rear retroreflectors, high-mounted brake lights, license plate lights;
Common lights for large vehicles include: front profile lights, rear profile lights, side marker lights, reflective logos, and tail sign boards.

Method A:
1) The sample should be installed in the center of the turntable.
2) The lighting method is to light up for 3 minutes, turn off for 2 minutes, and spray water continuously for 12 hours.
3) After the water spray and rotation stop, the sample should be drained in the box for 1 hour.
Method B:
1) The sample should be installed centered on the test bench.
2) The light distribution performance of the sample should be inspected before and after the test.
3) The test consists of two cycles, each cycle lasts 5 minutes, of which 3 minutes are used to light up the sample and 2 minutes are turned off. The test duration is 10 min.
4) Result judgment: After the test, the light distribution performance of the sample should meet the requirements of relevant standards.
