Moisture and heat resistance test of paint film

Moisture and heat resistance test of paint film-Reliability Testing-

Test Background

Heat and moisture resistance refers to the paint film’s resistance to the effects of high temperature and high humidity environments. The paint film resistance to heat and humidity test can determine the coating's ability to withstand high temperature and high humidity environments of paint, varnish or related products.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various paint films and provides professional moisture and heat resistance testing services for paint films.

Scope of tests

1) According to use: there are wood paint, iron paint, glass paint, aluminum paint;
2) Divided by state: water-based paint and oil-based paint. Water-based paint is mainly latex paint, while lacquer paint, polyurethane paint, etc.;
3) According to the form of action: volatile paint and non-volatile paint;
4) According to the surface effect: transparent paint, translucent paint and opaque paint.

Test method

1. The test panels are hung vertically on the shelf, and the front sides of the test panels are not allowed to contact each other. Place the shelf into a temperature and humidity chamber that has been pre-adjusted to a temperature of (47±1)℃ and a relative humidity of (96±2)%. Other agreed temperatures and humidity can also be used. When the temperature and humidity reach the set values, the test time starts to be calculated. There should be no condensation on the surface of the test panel during the test.
2. Check once every 48 hours of continuous testing. After two inspections, check once every 72 hours. After each inspection, the position of the test panel should be changed.
3. Fingerprints must be avoided when inspecting the test panels, and the test panels must be compared with the standard panels under sufficient light or direct light illumination. The results shall be based on the two panels with the same level among the three panels.
4. The edges around the test plate, damage within 5 mm around the plate hole, and damage caused by external factors will not be examined.
5. Test time The test is in progress:
a) The time agreed by both parties;
b) The stop indicator agreed upon by both parties.

Test standard:
