Test Background
Building waterproofing materials refer to building materials that can prevent the erosion and penetration of rainwater, groundwater and other water. Waterproofing is an important function of buildings, and waterproofing materials are the basis for realizing this function. The fluorescent UV lamp aging test of building waterproof materials is a test method in which the specimen is exposed to fluorescent UV radiation, heat and water in a test chamber. This method is used to simulate the natural aging effect of the material when exposed to sunlight in the actual use environment.
The specimen is exposed to fluorescent UV lamps under controlled environmental conditions (temperature, humidity and/or water). Different types of fluorescent UV lamps can be used to meet the testing requirements of different materials.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to perform aging tests on various building waterproof materials, and provides professional fluorescent UV lamp aging test services for building waterproof materials.
Test Items
Evaluation project for aging performance of building waterproofing materials:
1) Non-destructive items: appearance, color difference, quality changes, dimensional changes, hardness, gloss, softening point, penetration, etc.;
2) Destructive items: low temperature properties (low temperature flexibility, low temperature bendability, cold brittle point), tensile properties, etc.
Test method
1. Fluorescent UV lamps, when maintained and/or operated in accordance with the supplier's recommendations, can be used to simulate spectral irradiance in the UV region of sunlight.
2. Under controlled environmental conditions, expose the specimen to different UV irradiance, temperature and humidity.
3. Exposure conditions vary with the following choices: type of fluorescent UV lamp, irradiance, temperature during UV exposure, type of wetting, wetting temperature and cycle, length of light/dark cycle.
