Test Background
Building waterproofing materials are the material basis of waterproofing projects. They are the main barrier to ensure that buildings and structures prevent rainwater intrusion and groundwater and other moisture penetration. The quality of waterproofing materials has a great impact on waterproofing projects. Therefore, we must start with waterproofing materials to study waterproofing issues.
The hot air aging test of building waterproofing materials is an aging test conducted in air under high temperature and normal pressure. It can be used to screen formulas, deduce the storage period of materials, and evaluate the heat resistance of materials.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to perform aging tests on various building waterproofing materials, and provides professional hot air aging testing services for building waterproofing materials.
Test Items
Evaluation project for aging performance of building waterproofing materials:
1) Non-destructive items: appearance, color difference, quality changes, dimensional changes, hardness, gloss, softening point, penetration, etc.;
2) Destructive items: low temperature properties (low temperature flexibility, low temperature bendability, cold brittle point), tensile properties, etc.
Test method
The test material is exposed to an accelerated aging test chamber in a heat and oxygen environment. By measuring the changes in material properties before and after aging, the hot air aging resistance of the material is evaluated. It is advisable to expose a control substance with known performance and the test material at the same time to provide a standard comparison.
