Test Background
Building waterproofing materials are an important function of building products, which are related to the use value, use conditions and sanitary conditions of the building, affect people's production activities, work and life quality, and play an important role in ensuring the quality of the project.
The xenon arc lamp aging test for building waterproof materials is a test method in which the specimen is exposed to an argon arc lamp in a humid environment to simulate climate effects (temperature, humidity and/or moisture). This method is used to simulate the natural aging effect of materials exposed to sunlight in actual use environments.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to perform aging tests on various building waterproof materials, and provides professional xenon arc lamp aging test services for building waterproof materials.
Test Items
Evaluation project for aging performance of building waterproofing materials:
1) Non-destructive items: appearance, color difference, quality changes, dimensional changes, hardness, gloss, softening point, penetration, etc.;
2) Destructive items: low temperature properties (low temperature flexibility, low temperature bendability, cold brittle point), tensile properties, etc.
Test method
specimens are subjected to laboratory light source exposure testing under controlled environmental conditions. The method shall include the method of measuring the irradiance required to expose the test piece surface and the results of the irradiance measurement, the temperatures of the whiteboard and blackboard sensors used, and the air temperature and relative humidity of the test chamber.
